Tati (GlamLifeGuru) has changed many lives – I’m sure of it. With her ruthless beauty and skincare reviews, she has helped many discover VERY high end makeup and dirt-cheap drugstore holy grail products. I am one of those people. I watched all of her skincare videos I could find, made a list and took a trip to the drugstore – Here are the results: (I LOVE THEM ALL).
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 – I would have never picked anything up from Neutrogena. How glad am I that I did – I absolutely love this moisturizer. Don’t let the “rapid wrinkle repair” scare you. Its a great lightweight moisturizer with an SPF that blends completely into your skin. This is a great retinol formula for anyone who has never tried retinol but has wanted to. Retinol increases cell turnover so your skin sheds a little faster and I have found that this is helping my breakout-prone skin. Although I don’t have any deep wrinkles yet, my skin looks smoother and more even overall.
Nip+Fab Bee Sting Fix Lifting Mask – Bee venom is having a moment in skincare right now. This is a leave on or overnight mask that hydrates and plums skin. And it really does what it says. I love to use this after a detox mask or clay mask to put the moisture back into the skin. I like that it is a thicker gel formula than the Laneige sleeping masks. After leaving this on overnight, my skin looks very hydrated and I look more awake.
Simple Cleansing Micellar Water – One of the best micellar waters I’ve ever tried. (Yes, even better than bioderma). It feels exactly like water, but can remove mascara and all makeup at the end of the day. Its also perfect for lazy mornings. Doesn’t try out my skin, in fact, it might even hydrate slightly. Great ingredient list.
Simple Soothing Toner – I really love using toners, but I find most can easily irritate or dehydrate the skin. This one is simply a step up from the cleansing water and helps to remove any remaining makeup or cleanser or mask. My skin likes it as I can see a difference when I don’t use it.
I absolutely recommend that you pick these up when you see them – great prices and great skincare results! Have you tried any of these or can recommend any other drugstore skincare favourites?
