My Skin Regimen | #NoCleanserChallenge Daily Routine

As promised – here is my (super easy) daily routine that I am currently following on my #NoCleanserChallenge. I don’t have all the kinks worked out yet but this is what I’ve been doing for about a month now:

Morning
1. Using warm water and a Norwex cloth, I basically wipe my face and the splash with water.
2. Following up with three small drops of the Copper Peptide and wait for it to dry.
3. Moisturize! I am currently using the Andalou 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream and it’s working ok but it is a light warm weather moisturizer so I need to switch to a richer moisturizer to combat some of the drying I’m noticing due to the colder weather. My favourite is the Andalou Super Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream – it is a richer and less gel like consistency but completely sinks into your skin like a gel. I also want to try the Andalou Probiotic + C Renewal Cream! I love their brightening line.
4. I take 6 Wild Salmon oil enteric softgels (2 three times a day) to balance the oil from the inside. If I forget to take it I can see a difference in my skin right away so this is one of the most important steps. It is crucial that they are enteric coated so that the oil is released in your small intestine instead of your stomach – hence the fishy burps you get from the non-enteric coated fish oil softgels.

Night
1. Use makeup remover and the Norwex cloth to remove makeup from the day. The cloths are not very good at removing makeup and like leave residue, so I have to go in with two cloths to make sure that all the makeup is off.
2. Rollin’ with the 3 mm roller in an X pattern with 10 rolls each direction. I start rolling on my forehead and work down to minimize transfer of bacteria as all my acne is on my cheeks. Cleaning with denture tablets and letting it dry in it’s holder without the lid.
3. Copper Peptide. Three drops and wait to dry.
4. Intense Vitamin Serum – three large drops – one on each cheek and one for the forehead.

The routine itself is very simple but still time consuming due to all the physics makeup removing and precision work with the roller. You can’t rush the roller because if you drag at all, you rip up your skin! I still haven’t found a safe product to exfoliate with and this is an issue I will bring up on my next appointment. I usually exfoliated twice with a glycolic acid toner and a rice powder physical exfoliant once a week but find that they strip the acid mantle and oils too much. Since I haven’t been exfoliating, I feel that gross dead skin feels on the top of my skin (so gross)!!

All of the products I use that have not been linked come from Dermal Integrity – a clinic in Victoria specializing in the derma roller. They have a really great website with a lot of helpful information on the derma roller.
